“Summer Health Tips for Kids: Preventing Gastro-Related Issues”

Summer is a wonderful time for kids to enjoy outdoor activities and spend time with their friends and family. As a pediatric doctor, I often see cases of these illnesses during the summer months, and I want to share some tips on how to keep your child healthy and hydrated during this season.

Keep your child hydrated !!

The first and most important tip is to keep your child hydrated. Dehydration is a common problem during the summer, and it can lead to serious health issues if not addressed promptly. Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids, including water, fruit juice, and sports drinks. If your child is not a fan of plain water, try adding some lemon or cucumber slices to give it some flavor.

Avoid unhealthy foods

The second tip is to avoid foods that can cause gastro related issues. Golgappe, cakes, and bakery products are some of the common culprits that can lead to food poisoning.
